Sluijters Prize

“To obey, to comply, to place higher, to not care, to exclude for being different – a waste of time and place.”

KunstRAI / Art Amsterdam is proud to be the location for the presentation of the Sluijters Prize for young talent in the art for the second time. The prize is given once every two years by Stichting Kunst aan de Dijk Kortenhoef (Foundation). All Dutch artacademies apply their best students. This year, the prize is given to Kamilė Česnavičiūtė, who will present her work in a solo exhibition. Works by other nominees will also be shown.

The Foundation has invited all Dutch Academies to nominate their students, and have receives twelve applications. The jury consisted of artists Johan van Oord and Niek Hendrix and arthistorions Pia van Wijnbergen and Cato Cramer.
